Our 2-year-old yellow lab was recently diagnosed with a malignant form of bone cancer that spreads like wildfire in young pups. Diligence in noting the first symptoms as they appear is pointless, as the cancer has usually already metastasized by the time it is diagnosed. I'm keeping him alive (and comfy) for as long as HE wants to be. It's his choice, and not ours!
